Rosedale Abbey is an ideal village from which active couples wanting to get away from it all can explore what's on offer across the North York Moors National Park.

And we think you'll discover that there is an awful lot of fun to be had in our neighbourhood!

We have touristy hot spots like Helmsley, Pickering, Whitby, and Scarborough just a short ride away.

We also have lesser-know but still interesting and historical market towns like Malton, Kirkbymoorside, Stokesley and Guisborough also close-by.

So you'll discover that there are lots of nice towns for shopping, sight-seeing, museum visiting,  and fine- or casual-dining.

We have interesting churches, music festivals, ancient ruined Abbies, Galleries, Norman-era Castles, food festivals, country "shows", and lots of fine Stately homes and gardens which are open to the public.

Because the North York Moors is a National Park, you'll also be surrounded by the nicest scenery in England.

And the range of active outdoor pursuits is fabulous.  Whether you enjoy walking, mountain biking, road cycling, horse-riding, shooting, or fishing - all are readily available in Rosedale and the surrounding area.

You'll also discover that we have lovely country inns, golf courses, opportunities for bird- and wildlife-watching, as well as lovely accommodation for just chilling out and adsorbing the countryside vibe.
