Visit Two Moorland Cycle Centres

The North York Moors that surround Rosedale Abbey offer active adults and families a supurb location for cycling holidays or weekend breaks.

It doesn't matter if you're a family cycling together; a road racer; or a dead-set serious MTB biker - you'll discover that we have many miles of quiet country lanes, bridleways, forest tracks and disused railway lines devoted to the needs of recreational cyclists.

And the North York Moors National Park Authority also offer two dedicated cycling centres located inside the park that are well-worth paying a visit.

There is one located at Sutton Bank on the other side of Helmsley - about 25-minutes by car from Rosedale.

And the other is located in Dalby Forest - about 30 minutes drive from here.

But if you follow Stage 11 of the "Moor to Sea" Cycle Network, you can actually ride all the way from Rosedale Abbey to the cycling centre at Low Dalby.

The "Moor to Sea" route provides riders with a 150 mile path which does what it says on the can - takes you all the way from the high moors to the seaside at the Yorkshire Heritage Coast.

And the route takes-in the finest Moorland, forest, and coastal scenery in Britain.
