Gillies Jones Glass Studio, Rosedale Abbey

Our local artisans from Gillies Jones Glass - Stephen Gillies and Kate Jones - work from a studio in Rosedale Abbey which is literally just a stroll around the corner from Rosella Cottage in the heart of the village.

At the Gillies Jones Glass studio, Stephen and Kate create beautiful, elegant glass bowls using traditional glass-making techniques.

Each glss object they create is hand blown and decorated in the Rosedale studio.

And they only create a limited number each year; so they make a special, unique and exclusive gift for any visit to Rosedale.

Luckily, they're able to draw thier limitless inspiration from the natural beauty of the North Yorkshire Moors surrounding Rosedale Abbey.

And the success of thier work can be seen in both public and private collections locally, nationally and internationally.

They also undertake prestigious commissions and regularly lecture in the UK and overseas

The Gillies Jones Glass studio is open from March to November from 10am - 4 pm and from 2pm - 4pm on Sunday.  They'll also open at other times in Winter by appointment ony.

Rosella Luxury Holiday Cottage
