The North East Yorkshire Geology Trust is a not-for-profit organization that offers locals and visitors-alike an extensive range of trail guides in the "Secrets in the Landscape series".

Their heritage booklet "When the Devil came to Rosedale" should be of particular interest to any holiday-makers visiting Rosedale Abbey.

The booklet describes the earliest history of Rosedale; and it brings to life the reason behind the myth of the devil living in the hills above Rosedale Abbey.

The other 24 are trail guides all showcase an interesting walk in this corner of North Yorkshire; and each guide provides information on the landscape, geology, history, industrial archaeology, and the secrets in the landscape.

The Cleveland Dyke Drive covers a route to be driven by car or motorcycle with a number of small walks at different points of geological interest along the Dyke across North Yorkshire.

And there is a Fossil guide to the fossils to be searched for and discovered in Robin Hood's Bay.
