Rowing Boats at Ruswarp

In this hot July across the North York Moors, nothing much beats a cool day out by the Esk River at Ruswarp; it is  just upstream from Whitby.

And rowing boats and canoe's are available for hire to visitors and tourists by the hour or for longer periods.

Rowing at Ruswarp is a real treat.

It is possible for holiday-makers to row  from the Ruswarp wier, where the River Esk ceases to be tidle upstream to Sleights.

This strech of the Esk is wide and deep and passes through beautiful meadowland and woods.

There is always deep shade available near the tree lined banks and a host of waterbirds are usually to be seen.

Swans are Frequent Visitors to Ruswarp.
