Whitby Regatta

Another summer highlight for folks visiting Rosella Cottage is the chance to pop over the Moors from Rosedale to Whitby and take in the festivities surrounding Whitby Regatta.

For the previous 172 years, the Whitby Regatta has stood the test of time and is now probably the oldest sea Regatta in England.

This year, the Regatta weekend will take place between Saturday 18^th and Monday 20^th August.

There are three full days of entertainment, including yacht racing, rowing races and various forms of free entertainment, finishing with the usual spectacular firework display.

But you’ll have to miss Saturday the 18^th as that date clashes with our very own Rosedale Agricultural Show!
