Fancy a Winter Break in Rosedale?

It's starting to get cooler; as the darker, longer nights close in around Yorkshire.

So what could be nicer at this time of year than to have a weekend or week-long break pencilled into your calendar?

And in the run up to Christmas, or just after, a break in Rosella Cottage on the North York Moors offers so much to do; and a cosy luxury retreat at the end of each day.

Wild Deer Run Through the Snow at St Hilda's Church in Danbydale Near Rosedale.

We have a couple of weekends available to book in November; and still a couple of weeks free for a longer break over Christmas.

What's on This Winter?

Visit Helmsley for ICBP Duncombe's Winter Owl Evenings; with flying demonstrations by magnificent Owls by candlelight! How good is that?

These special events are taking place every Saturday from 15th November until Saturday 20th December.

Starting at 7pm, the Owl Evenings include a 2-course meal with mulled wine.

Children over 8-years welcome.

Pre-booking required.

Telephone 08447 422 035 for further details.

White Horse Farm Hotel Snow

The White Horse Farm Inn is Just a Short Stroll from Rosella Cottage.

Or drive over to Dalby Forest for the free Scarborough and Ryedale Astronomical Society (SARAS) stargazing evenings.

With the blackest of nights, the sky and twinkling winter stars above the North York Moors will simply astound you if you're a townie!

Stargazing takes place on the first Friday of the month between December and March.

It starts at 8pm, is free to attend, and finishes around 10pm

A charitable gold-coin donation is welcome.

And finally, there's not much to beat a rail jurney through the scenic heart of the North York Moors on a NYM Railway steam train.

Except, that is, if your steam train is boarded by Santa and his little helpers.

Santa Claus Specials begin on Sunday 30th November and run every weekend until 22nd December.

Telephone the NYMR on 01751 472508 for tickets and further information.
