Saint Hilda's Way is a new 42-mile long walking path in North Yorkshire that links a number of Churches in the area; with most of these being dedicated to St Hilda.
St Hilda's Way is designed as a pilgrimage with opportunities to investigate different aspects of the life of St Hilda at each of the churches visited.
The route starts from St Hilda's Well, Hinderwell and progresses across the Moors via Scaling Dam to St Hilda's Church in Danbydale.
As an aside, both my parents are resting in the churchyard at St Hilda's.

The route then goes to the National Park Visitor Centre, Danby; and through Lealholm and Glaisdale to St Hedda's Church at Egton Bridge.
Continuing from St Hedda's Church the walk visits St Hilda's 'Old Church', Egton (now the cemetery chapel) and St Hilda's 'New Church', Egton.
Continuing down the Esk Valley to St Oswald's Centre at Sleights, and onwards to St Hilda's Church in Sneaton.
The final part of the walk heads down into Whitby to visit St Hilda's RC Church, St Hilda's Priory, St Hilda's Anglican Church, St Mary's Church and Whitby Abbey.
