Here is a list of our favourite local tea shops and café's that will allow you to take a breather this festive season.

Pickering

Try "Feast", a lovely deli and cafe in the Market Square in Pickering.

It's only 20 minutes drive from from Rosella Cottage here in Rosedale Abbey.

Café Cocoa is also great for lunch and fantastic coffee.

Our girls reckon they serve the best hot chocolate on the North York Moors.

Or you might visit the Cedar Barn on the road to Thornton-le-Dale

They serve great coffee and tea with loads of goodies for sale in the farm shop.

Helmsley

You've simply got to try the Black Swan tea rooms in Helmsley.

It's one of Yorkshire's finest traditional tea rooms and the afternoon tea is without equal.

York

Where else but the World-famous Betty’s Café?

If it’s your first visit to York, you simply must experience afternoon tea at the Grand tea rooms in central York or at Little Betty’s in Stonegate.

Malton

Try Leonie’s; it's a small Café with a big reputation for winning National and World coffee making awards.
