Boltby

Boltby Pony Trekking & Trail Riding Centre is based on a working farm in the village of Boltby.

Boltby is right on the edge of the North York Moors National Park, and riders are fortunate to be able to access a wide variety of excellent bridleways, forestry, hills and moorland trails; affording stunning scenery and fantastic riding.

There are a range of horses and ponies and the centre caters for beginners as well as experienced riders. The rides range from 30-minute introductory rides for children, to one- and two-hour treks.

Bilsdale

Bilsdale Riding Centre provides horse riding with splendid views, clean air, wildlife in abundance; and all within an area surrounded by a large network of bridlepaths and green lanes.

There are a large number of horses and ponies to suit all standards of riding experience from the forward going to the bombproof variety.

Friars Hill, Sinnington

Friars Hill Stables is a family run business that combines professionalism with a relaxed friendly atmosphere.

Located in Sinnington on the edge of the North York Moors.

The stables have a wide range of well behaved horses and ponies to ride for all ages and standards.

Helmsley Riding School

The Barker family have run an equestrian business in Helmsley for over a hundred and fifty years. In fact, the Stables is the oldest riding school in the UK.

They teach mainly children, to ride in the very pleasant surrounding area.

The hacking-out rides for adults and children are said to be some of the best in the country. Riding is available in the lovely valleys of Rievaulx, Riccaldale, Ashdale, Beckdale and also at Duncombe Park.
