We all had a lovely time and your cottage is just gorgeous.  We had a drink in the Little Angel but the Station became our pub of choice and they had a band playing on Saturday Night.  Needless to say we had haddock and chips a few times (Magpie and Trenchers) but we did go to the Marine on Friday night which was excellent.  On Sunday night, after a few drinks in the Black Horse, we ate at Humble Pie and Mash.  We did not spend all our time eating and drinking and had a 12 mile walk on Sunday to Sandsend and beyond. It was very windy but a great walk. Thank you so much. The Foers Family & Guests, November 2015

Loved our stay in this exceptional house. Thanks for the hospitality! Julie & Phil, November 2015.

Spyglass is a wonderful place to stay and the welcome bag is a very nice touch. The decor and fitments of the apartment are luxurious to say the least. The location is perfect. The little touch of a bottle of prosecco for my birthday from the Marshall family was a lovely surprise. If there is one small constructive criticism it is the lack of an iron but apart from that we would highly recommend the spyglass for a lovely luxurious break. The Priestley's, November 2015.

Great decoration, great location and an amazing base to explore the Yorkshire coast and Moors! Kath, Manchester, October 2015.

Wonderful appartment. Parking not so easy! But manageable when you know how and where. Gill Garstang, October 2015.

The fixtures and fittings are all brand new at the cottage. It has a lovely cosy feel and we had a lovely week just the initial arrival that is a little off putting...had to ring the people to find out where it was on arrival cause we couldnt locate it and its down an alley way between two shops into a communal hallway but on stepping into the cottage WOW its beautiful :) Everything you could wish for is in the cottage and daily parking permits are provided which saves you lots so long as you can get parked we would stay here again :) Wendy, Manchester, September 2015.

Just a quick note to say we’ve just returned from a wonderful weekend at Spyglass. Enjoyed it immensely.  I have to say its one of the cosiest, stylish places I’ve stayed in for quite some time. Having breakfast looking over the roof-tops to the Abbey was a highlight. The Brion Family, September, 2015.

Lovely accommodation, clever use of space.  We enjoyed our stay immensly.  Some great places to visit. Helmsley lovely, also enjoyed a visit to Ninnungton Hall - Natinal Trust.  Sandsend not as busy as Robin Hoods Bay - recommend Bridge Cafe for a home made burger. Mrs McGann, July 2015.

I really like the name for it, who came up with the 'spyglass' bit?  The way it's decorated and laid out you immediately want to take a seat, stick the kettle on and make your self at home...so it has the perfect feel to it really!!  We like the tartan touches and that little attic room is a triumph with the loo in it too.  It's really nicely done. A fantastic week in Whitby. Weather was good and Spyglass was just perfect in every way.  The views are fabulous and its so easy to pop home between doing stuff around town. Love the decor and the bed is super comfy. Thanks for a great holiday. David, Shefield, June 2015.
