Take a Holiday in Rosedale Abbey

The pretty village of Rosedale Abbey is one of those rather special, sought-out villages quietly tucked away in the bottom of a deep, steep-sided Dale; and in the very centre of the North York Moors National Park.

Rosedale Abbey is Nestled in a Deep North York Moors Valley.

The surrounding Dales and Moorland are beautiful; and there are many peaceful walks and bike rides with scenic views over fields, woods and moorland available from the edge of the village.

The nearby market towns of Pickering, Kirkbymoorside and Helmsley are within a 15-minute drive and offer an excellent range of local shopping facilities, markets, eateries, and historic sites.

Castle Howard, Rievaulx Abbey, Nunnington Hall, Flamingo Land, the North York Moors Railway, Eskdale, and the Yorkshire Heritage Coast and Whitby are also just a short drive away.

Rievaulx Abbey, Whitby, Helmsley and York are all within a Short Drive.

Rosella Cottage

Rosella Cottage is a handsome little holiday home with a nice aspect in the village centre, and the picturesque countryside that surrounds it.

It is a located in a short row of interesting architectural Yorkshire stone cottages and just a few yards away from all the village amenities including three historic Inns, two cafes, the village church and churchard, the village green, shops, and an internationally-respected Glass Studio and Gallery.

The ground floor comprises a self-catering kitchen and cosy sitting room with a Victorian-era fire place.

The first floor has a very large bedroom (formerly two rooms which were "knocked" through in a 2013 renovation) plus a fully-renovated en-suite with large walk-in, high-pressure "Monsoon" shower; and a small laundry annexe with washer/dryer combination.

Outside, Rosella Cottage has a small Southerly-facing sun-patio sitting within a large garden.

There is also off-street parking available in a private carpark just a few yards from the front door.

Rosella Cottage provides free wi-fi and comes with a two TVs and a range of books and games.
