Autumn is a super time to pay a visit to Rosedale Abbey in the heart of the North York Moors National Park.
Rosedale Abbey in Autumn.
The Moors surrounding the village are at their brooding best; and you'll prety-much have miles and miles of fantastic scenery all to yourselves.
Now the schools have taken the kids back; and the summer holidays are over; Rosedale takes on an all-together quieter vibe.

But that doesn't mean there is nothing to do - on the contrary.
With fine days and enough evening light before the end of British Summer Time on Sunday 30th October, the walking, cycling, horse riding and sight-seeing opportunities are endless.
And all the local Inns and restaurants that surround Rosedale are still open - many with entertainment of various sorts on weekends.

Although we're fully booked throughout September, we still have a couple of nice mid-week breaks available in October before the clocks go back and the dark winter nights return!
