Stage One of the Tour de Yorkshire is our favourite pick of the three day race.
But we're biased since it runs the full length of lovely Rosedale and passes right-by the front door of Rosella Cottage here in Rosedale Abbey!
But where are the best spots to catch a view of the peleton as it races across the North York Moors?
Here are my recommendations of the best places to watch the action around the Moors.
The race route enters the village from the South and runs past the beer garden of the Coach House Inn, round the right-hand side of the village past the village Green and Rosella Cottage and onwards up the Dale to the North.
Anywhere in the village will be a good spot as refreshments will be available from Graze on the Green, Abbey Stores and Cafe, and the Coach House.
The Blacksmiths at Hartoft will be another good spot with refreshments available.
My pick would be Dalby Forest Drive where it has the steep descent and ascent around to Staindale Beck.
If the weather is reasonable, there'll be long-views of the peleton available all across the high Moors.
The area where Knott Road meets the New Way on the road out of Rosedale will be a good spot to catch long views of the peleton.
For iconic photographs, the Blakey Road at Ralph's Cross will provide excellent views in all directions.
The crossroads outside the Duke of Wellington Inn will provide a tricky little corner and steep hill where the peleton will have to slow down - providing good views of the cyclists as thye flash past.
The climb up Limber Hill out of Glaisdale will provide a test of the rider's mettle.
It'll be a busy town on May 1st, but watching the racers dash across the swing-bridge to the old town will be another memorable day in Whitby's long history.
