Chimney Bank in Rosedale Abbey has been hosting motor-vehicle and motor-bike hill climbs since the dawn of the motoring era in the early 1900s.

And next Friday (17th April), there is another chance for visitors to Rosedale to catch all the action when the Flying Scotsman Reliability Trial passes through Rosedale Abbey on the route from Leeds to Gleneagles.
With around 110 classic cars from the pre-World War II era taking on the Chimney Bank challenge, the cars of the Flying Scotsman will be descending Chimney Bank in Rosedale some time after 11.00am on Friday.

There'll also be good viewing points across Spaunton Moors towards Hutton-le-Hole and above Rosedale Abbey on the Haygate Bank Road heading towards Egton Bridge.
