Rosella Cottage in Rosedale

Rosella Cottage in the beautiful village of Rosedale Abbey is a renovated one-bedroom  "contry-chic" luxury holiday cottage dating back to about 1850; re-designed and renovated in early 2013 with active couples in mind.

We can also cater for small families with younger childen.

The dwelling is a traditional stone-built two-story Yorkshire Cottage in a short row of similar properties and located in the centre of the village in a designated conservation area; and very close to two pubs, a cafe, village shop, church and glass gallary.  All within walking distance.

The cottage is accommodated with a large bedroom with vaulted ceiling and exposed roof beams; with a kingsize bed and very nice en-suite. 

We also have an attractive and cosy lounge with victorian fireplace and a fold-away sofa-bed; and a small kitchenette with fridge, cooker, microwave, dishwasher machine and all necessary pots and pans, plates and flatwear.  There is also a small uility with a washing machine and tumble-dryer.

Rosella Cottage was closed from October 2012 to January 2013 whilst the cottage was completely renovated by local stone masons from Glaisedale.  Local interior decorator - Emma Gordon from Eye-Candy - was also engaged to give the interior of the property a complete furniture, design and decoration make-over in time for the 2013 Sprind holiday season.

Rosedale Abbey itself is located in the centre of the North York Moors National Park; and Rosella Cottage is an ideal base from which to explore the wider area by car, motorbike or bicycle. 

For visitors to Rosella Cottage in Rosedale, you'll find Whitby, Pickering, Malton, Scarborough, Castle Howard, Harrogate, and York are all within a 20-minute to 1-hour car ride from the Cottage.

And for people living in the big towns of Leeds and Sheffield, Middlesbrough or Newcastle; getting to Rosella Cottage should only take between one and two hours by car.  Hence, our Rosella cottage is the ideal accommodation for weekend or mid-week breaks; or longer holidays of a week or fortnight.

London and Edingburgh are both about 4-5 hours away using a combination of train to York or Darlington and then hire car direct to Rosedale.
