Slow Down for Rosedale's Lambs

If you're planning a day out, or a weekend away on the North York Moors this April, please remember that it's the seasonal lambing-time on the high Moors around Rosedale Abbey - so pay extra attention and slow down to save lives and prevent unwanted damage to your vehicle!

Take Extra Care Around Our Moorland Sheep and Lambs.

From April onwards, you'll see lambs all across the high Moors.

So we ask that locals and visitors-alike slow down and take care around lambs on the roads.

They certainly add to the local distinctiveness of our lovely moorland community.

And they're a valuable addition to the livelihood of local farmers.

Whenever you see the new lambs frollicking on the Moors, we hope that they bring you a sense of joy and renewal after the long cold winter.

So keep a sharp-eye out for lambs and slow down whenever they're about.
