The North York Moors National Park visitor centre in Danby is holding an exhibition of cycling-inspired art as part of the build-up to the Grand Départ for the Tour de France in Yorkshire this summer.

Titled "Paysage Recyclé" (Recycled Landscape), the new exhibition is one of hundreds of events within the Yorkshire Festival 2014, the first ever arts festival to precede the Tour de France.

And this new exhibition features work by Yorkshire artists Graham Anderton and Sue Slack.

Graham is a sculpturist, and his work for the exhibition features a range of animals from the National Park; with each animal sculpture made from recycled bicycle parts.

Sue is well-known for her vibrant paintings of Yorkshire landscapes.

A new element for the exhibition offerings is that Sue has painted tiny cyclists in each one of her works.

The Paysage Recyclé exhibition is open to visitors to the North York Moors from Saturday 17th May to Monday 16th June.

It is open every day from 10.30am to 5pm.

The Moors visitor centre in Danby is also offering holidaymakers and locals alike the chance to meet the two artists; between noon and 3pm on the opening day of the exhibition on Saturday 17th May.

For further information about the Paysage Recyclé exhibition, telephone 01439 772737.

The North York Moors National Park visitor centre in Danby is approximately ten-miles distant from Rosella Cottage here in Rosedale Abbey.

It is a lovely drive and an even better bike ride across the beautiful North York Moors.
