Timing for the Tour de Yorkshire

The Tour De Yorkshire international cycle race is coming through Rosedale Abbey on Friday 1st May.

The 174 km route starts in Bridlington around 12-o'clock noon; and finishes in Scarborough at around 4.30pm.

The leading riders and the Peleton will pass-by the front door of Rosella Cottage sometime in the early afternoon on race day.

The Tour de Yorkshire Runs Right Past Our Front Door in Rosedale Abbey !

It promises to be a wonderful and history-making day for visitors to Rosedale; but please be aware that the race route through Rosedale will be subject to a ‘rolling road block’.

The roads up and down the Dale will be closed for up to 30-minutes when the riders, support cars, and other associated vehicles pass through the Valley.

On street parking in Rosedale Abbey will also be limited on the day of the race.

The Tour de Yorkshire Passes Through Rosedale Abbey in the Mid-Afternoon.

Ryedale District Council is in the process of producing a local leaflet to provide information to visitors and local people about parking, community events, accommodation, and other attractions in the area.
