New Inn Cropton

The New Inn is to be found in the lovely little village of Cropton just down the valley from Rosedale Abbey in Rosedale.

You'll likely drive past it on your way from Rosella Cottage if you're visiting Pickering, Malton, York or Scarborough.

It's one of our favourite 'locals' and sits right on the border of the North York Moors National Park, so make sure to stop off and have a pint and something to eat.

The meals are excellent.

Another reason we like the New Inn so much is because it has its own brewery - the Cropton Brewery - located right behind the pub in the Woolcroft.

They've been brewing-up award-winning real ales at the Cropton Brewery since 1984.

They produce both cask conditioned real ale and bottle-conditioned beer.

The brewery has gone from strenth-to-strength and they now produce over a dozen different cask conditioned and bottled beers which can be drunk in the New Inn.

There are also daily brewery tours available all year round.

Unfortunately, children under 12 are not allowed in the brewery.
