Rosedale Abbey is in the geographic centre of the North York Moors; and it is an ideal village from which active couples wanting to get away from it all can explore what's on offer across the region. And that is quite a lot actually!

With the touristy hot spots of Helmsley, Pickering, Whitby, and Scarborough just a short ride away; and lesser-know but interesting and historical market towns like Malton, Kirkbymoorside, Stokesley and Guisborough also close-by; there are plenty of places for shopping, sight-seeing, museum visiting, and fine- or casual-dining.
We have interesting churches to visit, ancient ruined Abbies, Norman-era Castles, and lots of fine Stately homes and gardens which are open to the public.

Because the North York Moors is a sixty-year old National Park, you're also assured of seeing some of the nicest scenery in England; and active outdoor pursuits like walking, mountain biking, road cycling, horse-riding, shooting, and fishing are all readily available around Rosedale Abbey.
We also have lovely country inns, golf courses, opportunities for bird- and wildlife-watching, as well as lovely accommodation for just chilling out and adsorbing the countryside vibe.
