Rosedale in the North York Moors National Park is widely known as a bike-riders Mecca.
And to add to the cycling attraction of North Yorkshire, you'll now find Newbridge Park in Pickering.
Newbridge Cycle Park in Pickering Adds to the Cycling Attraction of the North York Moors.
The park is the result of the hard work of a local voluntary cycling group who have worked hard to develop cycling facilities in the disused quarry and adjoining woodland on the outskirts of Pickering.
There is a cycling skills area and cross country trail loop - designed to allow progression for beginners and advanced cyclists alike.
We reckon that Newbridge Park is one of the best new cycling additions in the region.
But to ride the trails you'll need either an annual membership (£20) or a day ticket - for just a one quid!
There is also a family membership available for just £30
All ticket types are available from Trailblazer Outdoors in Pickering Market Place (telephone 07428 058671).
To find Newbridge Park, head to Castle Road leading to Pickering Castle.
Take the bottom path around the castle. Go through the gate and carry on along this path.
When the path splits, take the left fork down into the woods.
Once in the wood, take the left fork that goes down a short hill and follow this path to the entrance of the bike park within 50 metres.
The Cross Country and the Jump Park start at this entrance point.
