There might not be a luxury boutique hotel in Rosedale Abbey. But there may just be the next best thing.
So read on to find out more...
In my regular job, I'm fortunate to travel a fair bit each year.
And I often get to take Emma and our girls along during school holidays.
So we get to see the interior's of a lot of different high-end luxury hotels; and a good few budget hotels as well!
For example, in the last couple of year's I've stayed in hotels in San Diego, San Fransisco, Beverey Hills, LA, Dallas, Denver, Minneapolis, London, Lodore Falls Keswick, Sydney, Adelaide, Perth, Brisbane, Singapore, KL, Jakarta, Bali, and a few smaller towns in between.
So when it came time to renovate Rosella Cottage in early 2013, we were able to draw on quite a bit of "insider hospitality" knowledge in working with our builder and interior designer to create a very nice space for our holiday home in the North York Moors.
The design brief was all about creating a space inside Rosella Cottage which our own family are happy with and love to visit. Which we do when we can!
We designed the cottage according to our own tastes knowing that what we like in luxury hotels is probably going to be a big hit with our paying guests.
And to do that, we've taken all we know about what makes staying in a luxury hotel a truely pleasent experience and "miniturized" the experience into our little holiday home.
In doing so, we've created a very "boutique hotel feel" with a real sense of luxury, but still with a very "homely" - and above all - a very comfortable feel.
First of all, at the top of our list - Rosella Cottage is very comfortable and welcoming and ideal for just lazing away a nice few days holiday.
