Helmsley Outdoor Pool to Reopen

Summer has returned to the high North York Moors that surround Rosedale Abbey.

And with the hottest weather of the year predicted for this week, it's time for holidaymakers to rediscover the joys of our local traditional open air swimming pool in Helmsley.

There has never been a better time to take the plunge than the hotter months of June, July and August!

And our local lido at Helmsley Open Air Swimming Pool re-opens on Saturday 14th June after an off-season refurbishment.

Thankfully, the registered charity that runs the pool secured a Community Grant from the North York Moors National Park and a Grant from the Co-Operative Society.

Taken together, these funds and the money generated by the pool itself over several years have allowed for a full upgrade of this wonderful facility.

The work includes refurbished changing rooms, new flooring throughout, new windows, a pitched roof, remodeled offices, new showers, painted pool wall surround, a small simple cafe 'experience', and other smaller features.

The pool is schedulled to open every day from 14th June until the first week in September.

You'll find the pool at Baxtons Road, Helmsley, North Yorkshire, YO62 5HT; which is about 20-minutes drive from Rosella Cottage here in Rosedale Abbey.

Cost for children under 16 years and Seniors is £3.75.

Adults swimmers cost £4.75 and non-Swimmers are £2.00.

A family ticket is £15.00.
