The 2013 North York Moors Chamber Music Festival will this year take place in August.  Starting on Sunday 11th and winding-up on Saturday 24th August 2013.

The North York Moors Chamber Music Festival is distinctive in that it provides the opportunity to hear the highest level of chamber music; but all within beautiful and historical North Yorkshire churches and other buildings.

This year, you'll be able to hear beautiful music played very close to Rosella Cottage in Rosedale Abbey and including St Mary’s in Lastingham, St Hilda’s in Danby Dale, and St Hedda’s at Egton Bridge.

The Festival and the locations where music is played celebrate the rich history of the moors, our country's most stunning and panoramic landscape. 

Simplicity and accessibility have been contributory factors in the Festival being such a big hit. 

And there is no hint of elitism.

The music and the festival environment strives to bind locals and visitors together in the friendly yet passionate atmosphere.

In 2012, the Festival recorded capacity audiences and was short-listed for the Royal Philharmonic Society Award.
