North York Moors Sunset

We've been blessed this past two weeks by glorious summer weather and some super warm evenings with long twilight 'til gone 1030pm on the North York Moors around Rosedale Abbey.

And last night on the drive from Danby to Rosella Holiday Cottage in Rosedale we captured these lovely snaps showing the folds of the Moors all the way across to Roseberry Topping and Captain Cooks Monument in the far distance about 20-miles away.

The photographs were taken from the Fryupdale Road just before the Rosedale turn-off at about 945pm (July 2013).

You can clearly see the ridges which seperate Danbydale, Westerdale, and Kildale looking in a NE direction.
