See the Solar Eclipse in Rosedale

Although solar eclipses occur somewhere on Planet Earth every year or so, they are very rarely seen in Britain.

So there is mounting excitement about the total solar eclipse that will be seen next Friday morning, March 20th 2015.

The Vast Upland of the North York Moors Offer An Uninterupted View of the Sky.

If you miss it, the next time one will be visible in the UK is not until 2090.

And that is 75 years away!

This time around, however, the total solar eclipse will be visible across the whole UK; from Cornwall to Northern Scotland.

And like all good things, the view will get better and better as you head Northwards towards Yorkshire!

In London, there will be deep partial eclipse, with 84 per cent of the sun covered.

Across the North York Moors, you can expect the eclipse to obscure around 93 per cent of the sunlight.

And with the vastness of our high, open Moorland above Rosedale Abbey, the views promise to be spectacular.

If You're Lucky, You Might Even Spot a Moon Gazing Hare!

I'd recommend getting onto the Moors early next Friday, to catch this genuine "once in a lifetime" experience between 8am and 10am.

And while you're here, why not make it a weekend?
