Rosedale Abbey and the area of the North York Moors around here can appear as a "winter wonderland" during periods of snowy-weather.
And being at an elevated altitude and near the North-East Coastline, we tend to get more wintry weather than lowland and Southern areas of Britain.
Snowfall during winter in Rosedale is one of the things that makes Rosedale Abbey distinctive and lovely.
The snow transforms the North York Moors. So included today are some of my favourite photographs showing this magical wintry transformation.
Walking Through Cropton Forest in the Snow.
Public Footpath to Egton Bridge in the Snow.
Sheep on a Snowy Road Across the North York Moors.
Farndale and Bilsdale in the Snow.
Hutton-le-Hole on a Frosty Day.
Sheep in a Heavy Snowfall on the North York Moors.
Ducks Land on a Frozen Lake at Castle Howard.
Winter Snow on the Howardian Hills.
A Sheep Takes a Drink in the Snow.
Rosella Cottage offers busy city-dwellers the chance to relax, unwind, and recharge in a country-chic and luxurious holiday home in the heart of the North York Moors. But "relaxing" doesn't mean boring!
Because we're surrounded by Moorland countryside, our guests are spoiled for choice with country outdoor pursuits and options for relaxing.
We also have fascinating places of history and culture; interesting villages and local market towns; great places for sight-seeing and shopping; lots of local festivals; and some wonderful opportunites for dining-out.
So, for a lovely break in a relaxing location; but with heaps to do and see, it's hard to go past Rosella Cottage in Rosedale Abbey.
