Fishing for Salmon and Sea Trout is available at Groves Hall in Sleights, on the River Esk.
Groves Hall is just 15-miles from Rosedale.
They offer Salmon and Sea Trout fishing on a private stretch of riverbank.
But the Esk is a spate river and it relies on rain, so check the weather forecast.
Groves Hall is in a beautiful and tranquil position in the North York Moors National Park with the Sleights Weir and fish pass near-by.
It is also quite private so there are few people to spoil your fishing pleasure.
And they have picnic tables on the river bank so you can enjoy a nice lunch while you fish.
The fishing season runs until 30th September for Brown Trout, and until 31st October for Salmon and Sea Trout.
Over fifty fish were landed in 2012 from August to the end of October and they operate a two fish limit per person per day.
Any method of fishing is allowed, but fly is limited.
Special Weekend Fishing Rates are available.
