It might be freezing this April across most of Britain, but beleive it or not, spring is here.
And soon enough we will have the best bird watching time of the entire year.
From now until the end of May is an ideal time to get outside and do some bird watching around Rosedale Abbey.
The Curlews and Ring Ouzels have already put in an appearance on the North York Moors above the village.

Curlews are in Abundance on the North York Moors Above Rosedale Abbey.
And the North York Moors have a wide variety of landforms and habitats, as well as coastal areas; so great opportunities for watching birds are all around.
And the best time to see many of our migrant visitors or native birds is before the trees and hedgeroows are fully budded and afford birdlife the cover they seek.
So make a point of taking the time to slow down and do some bird watching this spring.
That way you'll get to enjoy a little fresh air in natural North Yorkshire.
