Next weekend promises an action-packed four days of fun on the North York Moors.

In addition to the usual favourites - visiting Whitby, Castle Howard, Rievaulx Abbey, or a great hike on the Moors around Rosedale Abbey; there's a whole bunch of seasonal day's out.

On Friday 27th and Saturday 28th, the weekend kicks-off with the summer Dalby Forest Concerts.

Then on Saturday 28th and Sunday 29th, the North Yorkshire Moors Railway - running from Pickering to Grosmont - is hosting its "Awesome Seventies Weekend".

And as a further treat on Sunday 29th - Malton is hosting its annual agricultural show at Scampston Park on the outskirts of Malton.

Sunday is also the day to visit Ryedale Folk Museum - just five miles from Rosella Cottage here in Rosedale Abbey - for its "Bugfest" Festival.

Just make sure to keep your eye's peeled for the Pink Sheep that are hidden away across the North York Moors; spot three and you can enter the free competition on the website.
