Happy New Year from Rosedale

My New Year resolution for 2013 was to write a daily blog post on the Rosella Cottage website in Rosedale Abbey every day throughout 2013.

The aim of each of the previous 364 posts was to highlight something that is unique, distinctive and wonderful about the village of Rosedale Abbey; about the valley of Rosedale; about the North York Moors; the Yorkshire Herritage Coastline; North Yorkshire generally; and the Yorkshire people who define this region.

I wanted to give readers of the blog and visitors to the North York Moors an impression of the huge range of unique experiences on offer in the region.

To describe the best places to visit on the Moors;

The dining options;

The museums and gallery's;

The cultural and historic sights to visit;

The historic Inns;

The pretty villages; and

The unique landscapes that exist around Rosedale in the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

I've certainly enjoyed writing the blog each day - it's become something of a hobby; and I've even learnt a lot about the area where I was born.

So it just remains to say, "thanks for visiting the blog, and thanks to all our guests for holidaying in Rosella Cottage in 2013".
