Malton is a lovely old maket town; and just on the Southern edge of the North York Moors a few miles from Rosedale Abbey.

Nowadays, it is becoming known as the food capital of Yorkshire; and for that reason, it makes a great place to visit when you're holidaying in Rosella Cottage.

I love Malton because it offers loads of traditional Yorkshire tea shops and there is a grand selection of homemade cakes!

And it is just super to sit and watch the world go by in one of the most pleasent towns in North Yorkshire.

It's really as deli with a cafe in the Market Square in Malton.

They use home-made bread for all sandwiches and serve Fairtrade coffees.

The Hidden Monkey Tea Rooms

A traditional Yorkshire tea room serving homemade meals, snacks and cakes; all freshly baked on the premises.

Palace Theatre Café

Loctated on Chancery Lane and just a stroll from Malton's market square.

You'll find it to be a small café; open from 9 to 5 serving hot and cold food and drinks.

Kingfisher Café, Gift and Bookshop

Kingfisher Café is located on Saville Street in the heart of Malton.

Set over two floors, they offfer homemade, wholesome food, and drinks.

And the café has a friendly, relaxed and welcoming feel to it.

Sheila's Cottage Café

You'll find Sheila' Cottage Café at 53 Castlegate in central Malton.

Sheila's sell sandwiches, baguettes, jacket potatoes with an eat-in and take-away menu.
